Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions we hear most often from title companies, escrow officers, attorneys, and signers.
For Title Companies, Escrow Officers & Lenders
By phone, email, or through the scheduling portal on this site. Provide the signer name, contact number, location, document type, and preferred appointment window. We confirm receipt immediately.
For standard orders, we confirm the appointment within a few hours. For urgent or same-day requests, call us directly — that is always the fastest path.
Yes. Call us. We cannot always accommodate same-day orders, but we will tell you immediately what is possible rather than leaving you waiting for a response.
Contact us to confirm current coverage for your specific location. For remote online notarization, we can serve signers anywhere RON is authorized.
Yes. Signing With Lissy carries Errors and Omissions (E&O) insurance. Details are available on request.
We work with all major platforms. If you use a specific portal or title software, let us know when you place the order and we will confirm compatibility.
You hear about it immediately — not after the fact. If a document has an issue, a signer has a concern, or anything requires your input, we contact you at the table rather than trying to resolve it without you and hoping it holds up.
Yes. Scanbacks are reviewed before they are sent and before the original package ships.
For Signers / Borrowers
A current, government-issued photo ID — driver's license, passport, or state ID card. Your name on the ID must match the name on the documents. If you have a co-signer, they will need their own ID. If you are unsure, we will tell you exactly what to bring when we confirm your appointment.
A typical loan signing appointment takes between 45 minutes and 90 minutes depending on the loan type and package size. We will give you a realistic estimate when we confirm. We never rush through a package — your signatures are legal documents.
We can explain what each document is and where to sign. We cannot provide legal or financial advice about the terms of your loan — that is the role of your lender or attorney. If you have questions about your loan terms, contact your lender before the appointment.
Yes. We offer mobile notary services and will travel to wherever you need us to be. Let us know the location when you schedule the appointment.
Remote online notarization (RON) is a way to have documents notarized over a secure video session. Instead of meeting in person, you connect with the notary online, verify your identity electronically, and sign your documents digitally. It is legally valid in most US states. Contact us to confirm whether RON is an option for your specific documents and state.
We work hard to accommodate evening and weekend appointments when available. Tell us your constraints when you book and we will do our best to make it work.
General
A notary signing agent is a commissioned notary public with additional certification in handling loan and real estate closing documents. We are trained to manage the full signing appointment — coordinating with the signer, executing the package correctly, and returning documents to the title company or lender. We are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice.
Yes. All signer information and transaction details are handled with strict confidentiality. Documents and personal data are never shared beyond the parties directly involved in the transaction.
